Hello, my name is Mariam Daneshgar and I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist. My practice exclusively focuses on supporting individuals struggling with Insomnia and related sleep challenges, as well as Anxiety disorders.

I provide assessments and treatments virtually to adults across Ontario and Nova Scotia.

My practice is to gain a deep understanding of your sleep profile and why you are sleeping poorly through a comprehensive assessment. My primary approach to treating insomnia involves Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). You will be provided with practical tools to readjust and reset your sleep and to effectively manage general or sleep-related anxieties to prevent them from taking over. The overall goal of the treatment will be to resolve sleeping difficulties and to restore restful sleep. As insomnia is multifaceted and may co-occur with other conditions, depending on your needs and goals, I can integrate CBT-I with other treatments or offer it as a stand-alone treatment.
